Seberang Perai

Seberang Perai is one of the districts in Penang which is located at across the Penang Straits. For people intending to travel to Penang via the ferry link, Butterworth in Seberang Perai is still the place to go to. Compared to the Penang Island, Seberang Perai is slightly less developed, partly due to the reason where most of the economic investments in Penang are located at the Penang Island instead of Seberang Perai. Besides the town of Butterworth which used to be one of the old trading ports in Penang, Seberang Perai also houses a very interesting attraction which is the Penang Bird Park. The main attraction of the Penang Bird Park is that there is a large walk in aviary containing more than 800 bird types from all around the globe. In addition to that, there is also a children playground and a souvenir shop inside the Penang Bird Park. For those birds enthusiast, this is a place which they should really miss if they are planning a visit to Penang.
