Penang, or better known as the Pearl of Orient, is actually the one and only island state situated at the North West coast of Peninsular Malaysia. With only a land area of 1056 square kilometer, Penang is the state which has the highest population density in Malaysia where there are 2,032 people per square kilometer on the island and 866 people per square kilometer on the mainland. The state capital of the Penang state is Georgetown situated at the island itself and there are a total of 5 main districts here in Penang which is Barat Daya, Seberang Perai Selatan, Seberang Perai Tengah, Seberang Perai Utara and Timur Laut. The climate here in Penang is slightly warmer compared to other states due to the green house effect, however, the weather in Penang is still sunny and warm most of the time, with rain storm once in a while. Besides being the third largest economy (after Selangor and Johor) amongst the states of Malaysia, Penang also proves to be a paradise in the eye of the fellows who are interested in various cuisines. In addition to that, the tourism industry is also one of the Penang main economy incomes due to the reason where besides the delightful cuisines, Penang also has a lot of attractions such as the sandy beaches, historical settlements and as well as various cultural buildings.
