Redang Islands

In the early days, Pulau Redang is nothing more than a small sleepy fishing village, however, Pulau Redang since then has grown to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia today. Sometimes, peoples may have a misconception that Redang Island consist of only one island where in reality, Redang Islands are consist of not one, but 9 different islands which are known as Pulau Redang (Redang Island), Pulau Pinang (Pinang Island), Pulau Ling (Ling Island), Pulau Ekor Tebu (Ekor Tebu Island), Pulau Kerengga Besar (Kerengga Besar Island), Pulau Kerengga Kecil (Kerengga Kecil Island), Pulau Paku Besar (Paku Besar Island), Pulau Paku Kecil (Paku Kecil Island) and Pulau Lima (Lima Island). Regardless of that, the Redang Island or Pulau Redang is still one of the most preferred locations for holidays. This is because most of the major hotels, resorts, dive center and other recreational facilities are all located at around the Redang Island. The white sandy beach, the tall swaying palm trees and the crystal blue sea water are always one of the main reasons why people choose to come to Redang Island. Just like any other beachside attraction, there are plenty of activities to enjoy from such as snorkeling (there are over 55 genera of corals and more than 100 species of different sea creatures living and roaming around under the sea), scuba diving, water sports or sun bathing at the beach side.
