Tanjung Jara is definitely one of the best gifts from Mother Nature as it is considerably one of the most eye catching beaches in Terengganu. The scenic view of Tanjung Jara is the best during the day as the sunshine clearly emphasize the beauty of the golden sands slowly stretching into the crystal blue sea waters. Rantau Abang Beach
For fellow sea-turtles enthusiasts, the Rantau Abang Beach (Dungun) is surely the best sea-turtle observing locations as the Rantau Abang Beach is one of only six sea turtles nesting area in the world. Located roughly 56 km to the south of Kuala Terengganu, the Rantau Abang Beach is often flooded with visitors during the month of May to September as this is the hatching season for the giant leatherback turtles. According to some of the local people, rumor has it that the sea turtles have been around the Rantau Abang Beach since ancient times. Despite of this reason, these species are currently facing the danger of extinct which explains why there is a hatching centre that constantly monitors the well being of these protected species. In addition to that, the Rantau Abang Beach also has a very beautiful white sandy beach with swaying palm tree. Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming popularity of the nearby islands, Rantau Abang Beach continues to be neglected by fellow beach-goers.
