For the tourism industries in the Perlis state, it can be considered as under develop as there are still many hidden potentials within the state. Therefore for this reason itself, there are not many large scales or famous resorts or hotels here within the Perlis state. However, despite this reason, there are still some reputable hotels here within the Perlis state where some of the names of the hotels or resorts include the Federal Hotel and as well as the Putra Palace Kangar. Both of the hotels mentioned above are located at the state capital of Perlis, Kangar.

Firstly for the Putra Palace Kangar, it is a 5 star rated hotel and in addition to that, the Putra Palace Kangar is situated conveniently at the city center of the Kangar district. For being a 5 star rated hotel, the Putra Palace Kangar charges a relatively fair rate where a one night stay in Putra Palace Kangar can cost from RM200 to RM1000 depending on the types of accommodation chosen. As for the facilities and services of Putra Palace Kangar, all of the different types of room in the Putra Palace Kangar are well equipped with various basic facilities such as mini bar, iron, ironing board (upon request), television and as well as refrigerator. Aside from these basic facilities, the Putra Palace Kangar is also equipped with various services such as a business centre (secretarial services, facsimile, computer and internet facilities), fitness centre, swimming pool, limousine services, doctor on call, shopping lot, airport transfer and as well as a laundry services. For dining purposes, the Bendang Coffee House is situated conveniently at the lobby of the hotel and in this kampung themed restaurant, they serve various cuisines ranging from Western cuisines to Chinese cuisines. Aside from the Putra Palace Kangar, there is another hotel known as the Federal Hotel. The Federal Hotel is a five storey building and it is located comfortably at the heart of Perlis, Kangar. The rate of the Federal Hotel is considerably cheaper compared to Putra Palace Kangar where a single night spent at the Federal Hotel only cost somewhere between RM 60 to RM 140. For this rather cheap deal, the Federal Hotel only offers some very basic facilities where some of these facilities include a car park, a fully furnish room equipped with television, an automatic water dispenser and as well as a washroom. Aside from that, there is also an outlet serving Northern Malay, Asian and some other continental cuisines where some of these delicacies include nasi lemak, tom yam and as well as fried foods.

Both of the hotels mentioned above are quite well known within the vicinity of the Perlis state. Aside from these hotels, there are always other cheaper hotels for budgeted travelers. However, it is best to call to enquire in the tourism center as information regarding these hotels or motels are not easily available through the internet.
