Perhentian Island

The Perhentian Island is the island located at the northernmost islands off the east coast. There are actually two main islands which are known as the Pulau Perhentian Besar and the Pulau Perhentian Kecil which literally means the big and small Perhentian Islands. Just as any other islands, the Perhentian Islands are filled with lush green forest and of course, the white sandy beaches. Most of the scuba divers choose to visit the Perhentian Island are because off the shore of the Perhentian Island, there is a large variety of marine life such as stingrays, black corals, moray eels, sea turtles and many colorful fishes. The main difference between the Perhentian Island and the Redang Islands is that, Redang Islands is more like a fancy holiday getaway whereas Perhentian Island is more of a down to earth place where people can enjoy a wide range of natural recreational activities such as snorkeling, jungle trekking and scuba diving.
