| This happen at Sibu, Sarawak. I think it is about 3 years ago. A mother poison her only son and then commit suicide. In the end, her son was killed, but she service. At Taiwan some parents killed their children first and then commit suicide. Why they have to kill their children before they commit suicide?What is in their mind?Most of the time the Parent would tried to work it our for Children. Why they didn't tried to solve their problems for the children? |

| It could be that they think this life is too full of suffering - so they think they are helping their children by ending their lives early before the pain of suffering starts later in life. No growing pains if die early - apparently.If they want to commit suicide, they will think that the child suffers from the trauma of losing a parent. So if the parents think they cannot stand living anymore, kill their children then kill themselves. |

| i think its bcos they dont want their kids to "suffer without them"...kinda crazy if you ask me... they're probably afraid to face life but dont want their little children to become "orphans" as they might be "rejected" by the society (especially because the parent had committed suicide)...i think this is the reason... but there might be others too, for e.g. they might not want the kids to be abused by the relatives etc (sort of similar to the reason given above)...but to be frank, we can only *guess* what the reason might have been... the *real* reason for all this will be long buried with them... |

| They must've thought that it's an easy way out. How foolish! Scared if no one will look after their children when they're no longer around. As they say "rot in hell". Indeed. |

| those kids will be in heaven but the mother will have a lot of explaining to do to God. Its a sin to commit suicide and more sinfull taking your kids life (in other words =murder)..they kids are innocent, so they have a place with God. I know this also happens alot in India.A parent who has the heart to do such a thing is usually un-educated |

| That's why i love my parents more than anything in the world. They raised 12 stubborn and *&%&^%@( children, yet we are still alive till today. Whatever mood they are, we never figured out what's in their mind, but i know no matter how bad our life in the past, they will never think such action (suicide) to end whatever it were in their mind.You can't really tell what's in the mind of those person who took their own children's life then took theirs. Confusing... |

| I do agree with some comments that it is indeed cruel of the parent to do such to their own children and then to themselves. Like most of us would think that the parent doesn't want the child to be still living cos the parent know that he/she would not be around to take care of the child. Much has been said and normally people who speaks after a sad incident will say that the parent should have asked for help for people, like friends, relatives, etc or even some social help centres.I am a mother and I believe when a parent have come to a situation like such is a parent who has tried but maybe rejected by some. Nobody would be able to tell if they have approached people for help and was rejected. Nobody will do such to their own children and themself after just one rejection. As a mother, I have spend so much hours with my child, seeing them grow. As a mother, the child was in my tummy 9 months before anyone on earth sees them. How can we not love our own fresh and blood....Actually to come and think about it, all these boils down to what we are today. If you have live your life with contentment and maybe selfless, maybe (yes, I use the word 'maybe') when you have a problem, there will be someone out there to help. |
