The 35 kilometer long and 20 kilometer wide Tasik Bera or Lake Bera is located at the southwest of the Pahang state and it is situated in the saddle of the main mountain ranges of the Peninsular Malaysia. Lake Bera is actually the largest freshwater swamp here in Peninsular Malaysia and on top of that, it is surrounded by lowland and as well as peat swamp forests. For the natural habitats and wildlife, Tasik Bera is a sanctuary for mre than 200 types of birds, 50 types of mammals and 90 types of fishes. In addition to that, there are also some exotic wildlife here in Tasik Bera where some of these wildlife include the clouded leopard, tapirs, wild boards, flying squirrels, flying lemur and as well as the endangered crocodile species, the Malayan False Gharial. There are quite a number of activities can be enjoyed here in Tasik Bera where some of these activities include jungle trekking through the lush green forest, boating and as well as kayaking.
