Kelantan is one of the states in Malaysia which is located at the north-eastern corner of the Peninsular where Kelantan is bordered by Thailand in the north, Terengganu in the south-east, Pahang in the south and as well as Perak in the west. In this 14920 square kilometer land, the populations of the Kelantan state has reached more than 1.4 million people where in truth, the majority of the populations are consist of Malays. For the Kelantan state here, Kota Bahru serves as the state capital and the royal town of Kelantan. Aside from the Kota Bahru main district, there are another 8 main administrative districts here Kelantan where these districts include Bachok, Gua Musang, Jeli, Kuala Krai, Machang, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh, Tanah Merah and Tumpat. In Malaysia, Kelantan is often known as the “Cradle of Malay Culture” due to the reason where the Kelantan state itself offers a rich variety of colorful Malays traditional and as well as lush green scenic views. However, despite this reason, Kelantan is still considered as one of the most socially conservative states in Malaysia partly due to the reason where Kelantan is ruled by PAS (Islamic Party of Malaysia). Even though Kelantan is one of the largest states in Peninsular Malaysia, Kelantan is still the second poorest states in Malaysia where the reasoning behind this is because Kelantan’s economy depends mainly on agrarian and very little dependency on any of the industrial areas. Although Kelantan is not a wealthy state, there are still many wonderful attractions here in Kelantan such as their rich traditional customs, handcrafts and as well as various local delicacies. It is suitable to visit Kelantan at anytime of the year because the climate here in Kelantan is tropical climate with an occasional sporadic rain.
