Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru is by far until today, one of the most known names here in Malaysia as Johor Bahru is the central capital of Johor. The local normally named Johor Bahru as JB. Besides serving as an administrative central for the Johor government, Johor Bahru is famous because it is a shopping paradise where a traveler can definitely shop until he drops.

One of the famous places in Johor Bahru is the The Royal Sultan Abu Bakar Museum and Grand Palace. Both of these places is considered as one of the best spot for photography as the architectural design for both of these places are heavily influenced by European designs.

Besides the modern and developed city area, there are quite a number of delicacies worth mentioning here in Johor Bahru. One of the local delicacies where Johor Bahru is famous for is none other than the Bak Kut Teh (Chinese style pork stew). The term Bak Kut Teh is actually originated from the local hokkien dialect. This local delicacy had been around Malaysia for so many years, until nowadays, a halal version of Bak Kut Teh is available for all of the citizens in Malaysia to enjoy. There are quite a few famous hotels here in Johor Bahru, some of this hotels are Puteri Pan Pacific Hotel and Mutiara Hotel.

Actually, the 8 places mentioned above is just part of the Johor itself. There are actually many other more interesting places in Johor such as Yong Peng and Johor Lama. However, for most of the people visiting Johor, the 8 places mentioned above are already more than enough to leave an unforgettable pleasant memory for them.
