Ayer Keroh

Ayer Keroh

Ayer Keroh is accessible by a 45 minutes drive in the direction of the North South Highway towards our neighboring country, Singapore. At the first glance, Ayer Keroh is filled with luscious natural sights. There are quite a few interesting places here in Ayer Keroh, especially for those who loves nature and as well as golfers who love, well, golfing of course. Some of these places include the Butterfly Farm, the Crocodile Farm, and as well as the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club.

Butterfly Farm
In the Butterfly Farm, there are a collection of more than 200 exotic and rare species of tropical butterflies and generally of course, this farm is one of the world’s most comprehensive butterfly farms. In addition to the butterflies, there are also a variety of extensive collection of roughly 400 insect specimens and a snake garden as well. The Butterfly Farm also has an in-house butterfly laboratory which is the first one of the kind in Southeast Asia.

Crocodile Farm
This Crocodile Farm in Ayer Keroh is one of the largest crocodile farms in the whole of Malaysia. With a land area of 3.2 hectares, the crocodile farm houses more than 100 crocodiles of different breed. The surrounding environment of the crocodile farm had been shaped to look like the natural habitat of the reptiles. In addition to the crocodiles, there is also an amusement park for the liking of the children. During weekends and holidays, there are also performances by the fearsome crocodiles alongside their keepers.

Golden Valley Golf and Country Club
For fellow golf enthusiast, the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is definitely the place to visit as this is one of the top golfing destinations here in Malaysia. There are two 18- holes courses here in the golf course where one of the golf courses is the Mountain Course whereas the latter one is the Lake Course. Both of these courses proved to be a very challenging golf course as there are various watery hazards or bunker laying around in the place the golfer least expected them to be. Besides the challenge, the golfer can also enjoy the scenery while enjoying the tee off at each different par.
